Spring Formal – Looking Back and This Year’s Look

Hey guys! As you’re reading this I’m on my way to my church’s 3rd-5th grade camp as a counselor! I absolutely love working with kids so I’ve been excited about this for a while.

You may have seen a few photos on my Instagram already, but I attended the homeschool Spring Formal last week. This was my fourth year going and it’s always so much fun! Dressing up is one of my favorite things to do, so of course I love the fancy dresses and the sparkly makeup. Here’s a little flashback of my formal looks from the last four years.

I love this dress, but oh gosh, so much cringiness…my posing…and hair…and skinny glasses. ‘Twas an interesting time in my life, to say the least.

I was in LOVE with this dress at first sight. It looks slightly like I’m getting married, but I still think it’s pretty! I wore contacts in 2016, which I now can’t wear for long periods of time without getting a headache. If you zoom in on this photo you can see the seriously thick eyeliner. 😂 I just started wearing makeup in the beginning of 2016 and didn’t really know how to apply it.

This dress has POCKETS. Enough said. Take all my money.

Also, recognize these shoes? Yep, they’re the same ones I wore in 2015. I still clearly didn’t know how to pose two years later, but thankfully we’ve improved since then.

And this was last week. This dress just makes me happy, I love the color and the lace –  and WAIT TILL I TELL YOU HOW MUCH IT COST.

You sitting down?

Okay good.

I got it from Ross, and the regular price was $100. It’s great quality and looks like an expensive boutique dress. Such a steal! I curled my hair with this 1″ Curling Iron, and I will be posting a tutorial of my makeup look soon.

I’ve had an amazing time every year at formal, but this year was especially great! I love being able to spend time with my best friends, and dressing up is always so much fun.

Hope you all have a great weekend! ❤️
