My College Plans

Hello everyone! With my junior year coming to a close, it’s time to start thinking about college. Soon, I’ll finallyyyy have answers for all the people asking me, “So, what are your plans for the future?”

{ First time checking out Big Future! So excited! }

Next year I’m planning on doing dual enrollment with Liberty Online, which I’m very excited about. I’m a big believer in dual enrollment. It knocks out some of those basic college classes so you’ll be able to save a significant amount of money in your freshman year.

I recently found out about a website called Big Future, where you can enter your preferences on location/tuition/major/etc., and it automatically generates the colleges that fit within those parameters. This will save me SO much time when I’m ready to start applying.

{ Chilling at Starbucks picking out my preferences. }

Here are a few of the preferences I entered into the site:

-No more than 200 miles from where I live.

-Arts and humanities and/or teaching certification available.

-All-women dorms.

That’s just a small sampling of the information I entered to make my college list perfectly catered to my wants and needs. Using that information, Big Future recommended these schools for me as 100% matches!

Barton College

Campbell University

North Carolina State University

North Carolina Wesleyan College

University of North Carolina at Greensboro

Piedmont International University

As you guys know, I live in North Carolina! All of the schools that were 100% matches are located here. There were others that weren’t full matches, but fit some of the requirements. I love how they feature some colleges I never knew existed so I can check them out!

{ My final list! Not all of these were my 100%’s, but I liked these the most. }

All in all, Big Future + College Board has really helped narrow down my college application list. I’m so happy that I was able to work with them to bring you this post! I know it’s going to help so many of you who are in the same boat as I am.

Be sure to check out College Board on all their social media: Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram! Also, Her Campus is having a giveaway partnering with Big Future that you should definitely check out here.

Hope you all have a great rest of the week!
